Common Questions
The outdoor shading systems we install are designed for everyday weather and elevated wind conditions, but are not rated as hurricane protection products. We always recommend retracting outdoor shades before tropical storm or hurricane conditions.
We specify PVC-coated polyester fabrics with UV inhibitors and salt-air resistant coatings for all outdoor applications. These fabrics maintain color stability, resist mold and mildew, and withstand Florida's climate year after year.
Screen fabrics with very fine mesh openness factors (1% or less) provide meaningful insect reduction while maintaining airflow and views. We can specify screens specifically for this purpose.
